The Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology held an orientation programme for the 2023-2024 academic session at the Freedom Square on the campus on Sunday.
CUET’s interim in-charge (administration and finance) Professor Dr. Sudip Kumar Pal, also the dean for faculty of Civil and Environment Engineering, addressed the orientation programme as chief guest while Dr. Md Saiful Islam, deputy director of student affairs, presided over the programme, said a press release.
Besides, the dean of Faculty of Engineering & Technology Professor Dr. A H Rashadul Hossain, dean of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Professor Dr. Kazi Afazalur Rahman, dean of Faculty of Architecture & Planning Professor Dr. Muhammad Rashidul Hasan and registrar (additional charge) Professor Dr. Sheikh Muhammad Humayun Kabir, among others, were present at the event.
Professor Dr. Sudip Kumar Pal said that new students have to develop themselves as good people to change the country and society and then they have to develop themselves as qualified and successful engineers.
He also urged the students to confidently demonstrate their talent and competence.
