Leaders and workers of the anti-discrimination student movement here today observed a mass gathering programme, demanding trial of collaborators of the fallen Awami League as early as possible.

Scores of leaders and workers with processions poured into Shaheb Bazar Zero Point and observed the programme from 11 am to 1 pm to press home their demand. Coordinators of the platform, Salauddin Ammar, Sabbir Hossain, Abdur Rahim, Mahua Jannat and Ratul Hossain, among others, addressed the event.

Salauddin Ammar, in his speech, said leaders and workers of Awami League and its front organisations, particularly Chhatra League and Juba League, are hatching deep-rooted conspiracies against the country.

"We, the students' community, remain ready to resist them. We want to remain on the streets. If they have courage, they can face us," he added.

He also demanded trial of the collaborators of the fallen Awami League. "We will prevent if Awami League calls any programme in Rajshahi," he added.
