Prices of food and other essential items have been fluctuating in various markets. From major markets to rural areas, the situation remains similar. To ensure that no goods are sold at inflated prices, Upzila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mahera Nazneen monitored the Paikgacha market within the Paikgacha Municipality in Khulna.
This monitoring activity was conducted on Wednesday (November 13) at 10 am.
During the inspection, UNO Mahera Nazneen raised awareness among retailers, grocery shop owners, general stores, meat vendors, fish sellers, and vegetable traders about price control. She provided specific guidelines to display price lists, maintain purchase receipts, use digital weighing machines, and keep prices within reasonable levels. She stated that such monitoring will continue in the public interest.
The inspection was attended by Upzila Food Controller Hasibur Rahman,clerk Ibrahim and local dignitaries.
