A big Indian python has been rescued from a fisherman's net in Gazaria upazila of the district early today.
The python was found in a wetland behind Miajibari in Puran Baushia Dakhinpara area under the upazila. Local people managed to put the snake safely in a sack and reported the incident to forest officials later.
People flocked at Miajibari to see the python after spreading the news on Facebook.
