A daylong medical camp was held for providing free treatment to flood-affected people at Bhadua Model High School ground in Bhadua area under Gaokandia union of Durgapur upazila here today.
Gaokandia union BNP and its front organisations in cooperation with Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB), Mymensingh district unit arranged the medical camp for providing health care services to the flood victims, the organisers said.
Law Affairs Secretary of BNP central committee and President of Jatiyatabadi Lawyers Forum Barrister Kaisar Kamal inaugurated the medical camp as the chief guest.
The medical camp comprising a total of 30 physicians of the DAB Mymensingh unit provided medical support and free medicine to 2000 flood-hit people of the Durgapur upazila here.
Netrakona District and Durgapur upazila-level BNP leaders were present on the occasion.
