A man has been arrested along with 10 gold bars weighing 1166.71 grams from a bus on Dhaka-Chattogram highway at Khaiara in Feni district.
The arrestee was identified as Dwijendhar, son of Sudhangshu Dhar of Raozan upazila of Chattogram district.Tipped off, a team of police intercepted a Cumilla-bound bus from Chattogram on Sunday and recovered 10 gold bars worth Tk 1.20 crore from a passenger, kept in his shoes tactfully, said superintendent of Feni Police Habibur Rahman.
Later, police arrested him. A case was filed against him and he was sent to jail.
