A female school teacher died after falling from a motorbike in Panch Matha intersection area of the district town today.
The victim was Meher Negar Meghla, 45, wife of Rashedul Islam Selim, a resident of Jadurhat village in Chapra Saramjami union under Sadar upazila. She was the teacher of Sonamani KG School in Jadurhat area.
The accident occurred in the area when she was going to school on her husband's motorcycle. On the way she fell off the motorcycle around 9.30 am and sustained critical injuries, said officer-in-charge (OC) of Nilphamari Sadar Police Station Inspector M.R. Sayed.
Locals rescued her and taken to Nilphamari General Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared her dead, the OC said.
