Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug peddler with 492 bottles of phensidyl from Shibganj upazila of the district last night.
The arrested was Habibur Rahman, 20, a resident of Biapalpara under Paba upazila in Rajshahi district. On a tip-off, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid in Fatakpur area of the upazila around 8.50 pm and arrested Habibur with the phensidyl, a RAB official said.
Later the elite force handed him over to the police of Shibganj Police Station.
