The age group swimming competition was held at Mymensingh District Swimming Complex today (Saturday).
Azim Uddin, additional deputy commissioner (General) of Mymensingh, was the chief guest in the closing ceremony and distributed prizes among the winners, said a press release.
The event was organized with 70 talented boys and girls who have been taking part in regular swimming training at Mymensingh swimming complex.
Mymensingh District Sports Officer Al-Amin said this kind of competition was organized to increase the popularity of swimming in Mymensingh and encourage the new boys and girls to learn swimming.
This competition has been organized under the annual sports programme of the sports department, he said.
A month-long training session will be organized soon with the talented athletes of the organization and the talented swimmers of the district, he added.
