A court here today sentenced a woman to life-term imprisonment in a drug case filed with Narail Sadar police station in 2014.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Md Siful Islam handed down the verdict to Taslima Begum, 50, hailed from Choiguria village under sadar upazila of the district. The court also fined Taslima Begum Tk 10,000.
According to the prosecution, a team of detective branch of police arrested Taslima Begum with 80 bottles of phensidyl in Chachra village area on 23 April in 2014 district.
The DB police filed a case with Narail Sadar police station under Narcotics Control Act.
