A woman was killed in a collision between a truck and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on the Sylhet-Sunamganj highway in Nilpur area under Sadar upazila here today.
The deceased was Rajia Khatun, 50, hailed from Inamnagar village in Shantiganj upazila of the district. Police said the accident occurred at around 12:00 in the area, leaving Rajia dead on the spot and injuring several others.
The wounded were sent to Sunamganj Sadar Hospital. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sunamganj Sadar Thana Nazmul Haque confirmed.
