BNP’s Acting chairman Tarique Rahman, former State Minister for Home Affairs Lutfozzaman Babar, and other accused have been acquitted in the false case related to the grenade attack of August 21.
Following this news, leaders and activists of the BNP’s Paikgacha Upzila and Municipality units along with associated and allied organizations, organized a celebratory procession. The procession took place on Sunday (December 1) at 4:30 PM, parading through the main streets before concluding at the BNP’s Upzila office.
Among the participants were Dr. Md. Abdul Majid, President of Paikgacha Upzila BNP; Acting General Secretary Tushar Kanti Mondal; Shahadat Hossain Dabulu former district BNP member and ex-UP chairman; Abul Hossain Organizational Secretary of Upzila BNP; Selim Reza Lucky Convener of Paikgacha Municipality BNP; Member Secretary Mostafa Morol; Advocate Saifuddin Suman; youth leader S.M. Mohar Ali; Upzila Krishak Dal President Mesher Ali Sana and Municipality Chhatra Dal Convener Ariful Islam. Nearly 400 leaders and activists from the BNP and its associated organizations participated in the procession.
