The Chittagong University authorities on Wednesday inaugurated a special bus service to ensure convenient transportation for its students, faculty, and staff.
CU VC Professor Dr. Muhammad Yeahia Akhter inaugurated the special bus service as chief guest at the university's Zero Point on Wednesday morning.
Chattogram-Nazirhat-Khagrachhari Bus and Minibus Owners' Association will manage the bus service for direct routes between the university and key destinations in Chattogram city. Students can travel from CU Zero Point to New Market for just Tk 30. Buses will depart every 15 minutes, making travel faster and more convenient for students.
The service will operate entirely through an e-ticketing system. Students can purchase tickets from the Zero Point counter and travel to their destination without needing additional tickets from city counters.
CU Pro-VC (administration) Professor Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin was present as the special guest while the inauguration ceremony was presided over by Rakibul Amin, president of the Chattogram-Khagrachhari Bus Owners’ Association.
