Victory Day discussion held at Lohagara Health Complex

In honor of Victory Day 2024, a discussion session was held on Sunday at the Lohagara Upazila Health Complex in Chattogram. 

Lohagara upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Mohammad Iqbal Hossain  presided over the discussion while Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Enamul Hasan attended as the chief guest.

Dr. Ishtiaqur Rahman, resident medical officer of Lohagara Health Complex conducted the discussion while former general secretary of Lohagara BNP SM Salim Uddin Khokon Chowdhury, secretary of upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Abul Kalam Azad, Battoli City Development Committee convener Kazi Nurul Alam Chowdhury, upazila agriculture officer Kazi Shafiul Islam, acting upazila social welfare officer Ridwanul Karim, consultant (ENT) Dr. Nasir Uddin also participated as the special guests. 

In his address, Dr. Mohammad Iqbal Hossain reflected on the significance of Victory Day, and said, "This day represents a glorious chapter in our history. The sacrifices of freedom fighters and civilians during the Liberation War inspire us to work for the betterment of healthcare in independent Bangladesh. We must honor their contributions by improving health services."

Chief guest Md Enamul Hasan said, "Victory Day is a symbol of our independence and freedom. We must all contribute from our respective positions to uphold the values of our independence."

The program included tributes to the martyrs of the Liberation War and highlighted their sacrifices' profound significance. Following the discussion, prizes were distributed to winners of a children’s art competition held in celebration of Victory Day.

The event was attended by doctors, senior nurses, health employees, and other guests, making it a meaningful and memorable occasion.
