Preparatory meeting held for the 119th Urs of Gausul Azam Maizbhandari

A preparatory meeting for the 119th annual Urs of Hazrat Gausul Azam Shah Sufi Syed Ahmad Ullah Maizbhandari (K) was held on Monday at the Gausia Ahmadia Manzil at Fatikchhari in Chattogram to mark his death anniversary.

The event will be celebrated on 10th Magh (January 24, 2025), organised and managed by the Sajjada Nasheen Hazrat Maulana Shah Shufi Syed Emadul Haque Maizbhandari (M). 

The preparation meeting, which took place at the conference room of Gausia Ahmadia Manzil, was chaired by Hazrat Maulana Shah Sufi Syed Emdadul Haque Maizvhandari (M) and was supervised by Nayeb Sajjada Nasheen Syed Irfanul Haque Maizbhandari, the managing trustee of Darul Irfan Research Institute (DIRI). The meeting was attended by a large number of volunteers from the Maizbhandar Urs Sharif Supervision Committee and members of the Maizbhandari Special Force (MSF).

Sheikh Mohammad Alamgir, the secretary general of the Anzuman-e-Muttabeyin-e-Gaus-e Maizbhandari (Shah Emdadia), conducted the meeting while central executive committee's joint secretary general Mohammad Mejbaul Alam Bhuiyan, principal of darut talim Maulana Jainal Abedin Siddique, public relations secretary Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, office and library secretary Mohammad Ahsanul Haque Badal, social welfare secretary Mohammad Mohiuddin Enayet, legal affairs Secretary S.M Rafiqul Islam, president of Chattogram District Executive Committee Humayun Kabir Chowdhury, among others, were present at the meeting. 

In preparation for the upcoming 119th Urs on 10th Magh, the Darul Irfan Research Institute, Maizbhandari Foundation, Maizbhandari Education Trust, and Maizbhandari Shah Emdadia Blood Donors Group, along with other affiliated organisations, have planned a ten-day program.

During the meeting, Syed Irfanul Haque Maizbhandari urged everyone to work sincerely to ensure the success of the Urs Sharif. 

As in previous years, devotees from across Bangladesh, as well as from countries like India, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, China, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Malaysia, and Oman, will participate in this grand event.

The Urs, an annual spiritual gathering, commemorates the legacy of Gausul Azam Maizbhandari and his contributions to Sufism and humanity.
