An information booth camp was organized in Paikgachha, Khulna, under the Women’s Progress through Access to Information project. The event took place on Sunday at 10:30 AM in the premises of Chandkhali Union Parishad. Funded by USAID, supported by The Carter Center and implemented by Agragati Organization, the camp highlighted the services of five departments of the Upzila Parishad to 60 women from the Dalit community.
Speakers at the event included Upzila Women Affairs Officer Reshma Akter, Upzila Social Welfare Officer Anath Kumar Biswas, Upzila Assistant Agriculture Officer S.M. Monirul Huda, Uazila Assistant Youth Development Officer Babulur Rahman and Upzila Assistant Fisheries Officer Randhir Sarkar. Present at the event were Selimur Rahman, Programmer of Agragati Organization; Asmaul Hossain Sohana, Project Monitoring Officer; and Abdur Rahim, Project Accountant, among others.
