The Honorary Consul of Indonesia Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman honored with the highest commendation award by the Republic of Indonesia.
The bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Indonesia are deeply rooted in history and marked by friendship, says Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman.
“Ekushey Padak” recipient and The Honorary Consul of Indonesia, Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman, received the highest commendation award entitled “Caraka Buwana” from Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mrs. Retno L.P. Marsudi by the Indonesian Government.
The special envoy of the Indonesian Government, Dhaurana Atikah Dewi, Secretary to the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia and Nur Hamamur Rizki Ratnaningtyas, officials of Political Affairs at the Indonesian Embassy in Dhaka, presented the commendation award at the Honorary Consul office in Khulshi, Chattogram on Wednesday.
Speaking at the ceremony, Sufi Mizanur Rahman said, "The relations between Bangladesh and Indonesia are deeply rooted in history and marked by friendship. Both nations are committed to continuing their cooperation in the future and will work together to promote peace, prosperity, and development in the region."
Mentioning that Indonesia was among the first countries to recognize Bangladesh after its independence, Mizanur Rahman said, "I extend my gratitude to the Indonesian government for appointing me as the honorary consul of Bangladesh."
Special envoy Dhaurana Atikah Dewi said, "The Honorary Consul Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman has played a key role in fostering a friendly and cordial relationship between Bangladesh and Indonesia."
