Former minister and BNP standing committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury said that the new generation will have to come forward to build a new Bangladesh on Sunday.
He said this at the inauguration ceremony of newly admitted students of CVASU on Sunday.
CVASU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Lutfur Rahman was present as the chief guest, and the program was presided over by CVASU Director (Student Welfare) Prof Dr. Mohammad Rashedul Alam.
Speaking as the chief guest, Amir Khasru said that everyone has to understand the change in the mindset of the people of Bangladesh in the wake of the expulsion of fascists. Those who do not understand, whether they are politicians or teachers, have no future. The thoughts, thoughts and philosophy of every person of Bangladesh have changed completely. The future of Bangladesh will be difficult for those who will not be able to understand it, will not be able to hold it and will not be able to work accordingly.
He said very few countries have the opportunity for human resource development in Bangladesh. We didn't invest in human resource development. We have invested in Padma Bridge, in the tunnel. But we need to invest in education and health on a priority basis. It is not possible to create human resources without investment in these two sectors.
CVASU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman said that CVASU students are acquiring international standard education through world-class curriculum, state-of-the-art laboratory and international collaboration. Problem-based learning methods have been introduced here for the first time in Europe-America.
He also said that CVASU has been working relentlessly to meet the protein needs of the people of DEM, implement a health policy as well as develop people, environment and livestock.
Treasurer of Dhaka University Prof. Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury told the students that you have to decide what you want to be in life. Accordingly, preparations should be made from now on. You have to work hard and make sacrifices. Only then can you reach the intended goal.
In the cluster system, 270 students have been admitted to four faculties of the university. Regular education activities for new students will start from January 1.
CVASU Treasurer Prof Dr. Md. Kamal, Dean of the Faculty of Food Science and Technology Prof Dr. Ferdousi Akhter, Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries Prof Dr. Sheikh Ahmad Al Nahid, Proctor Prof Dr. Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman were also present on the occasion.
