In celebration of the bicentenary birth anniversary of Gausul Azam Maizbhandari Shah Sufi Syed Ahmad Ullah, an Ethics Olympiad and Taqdis Dialogue were organized at Maizbhandar Darbar Sharif in Fatikchhari in Chattogram.
The event was held under the patronage of Hazrat Mawlana Shah Sufi Syed Emdadul Hoque Maizbhandari and the overall supervision of Syed Irfanul Hoque Maizbhandari, the Nayeb Sajjadanashin, chairman of the Maizbhandari Foundation, and managing trustee of the Darul Irfan Research Institute (DIRI).
The Ethics Olympiad and Taqdis Dialogue, held on Friday, were chaired by Syed Irfanul Hoque Maizbhandari. Chittagong University's Philosophy department Professor Dr. Akikul Haque and Bengali department Professor Dr. Sheikh Sadi were present as the special guest while Chittagong University's Psychology department Professor Dr. Shahinur Rahman was the keynote speaker.
The program was jointly organized by the Maizbhandari Foundation and DIRI, with co-organization by the Center for Ethical Development at Dhaka University.
Speakers at the event highlighted the transformative role of Maizbhandar Darbar Sharif in advancing ethics, spirituality, and humanitarian development. They emphasized how Hazrat Mawlana Shah Sufi Syed Emdadul Hoque Maizbhandari's initiatives consistently integrate education, morality, and social service, providing young generations with a foundation of ethical values and spiritual awareness. The Ethics Olympiad and Taqdis Dialogue reflect the Darbar's vision to expand moral and human values through education, impacting both local and international communities.
The speakers noted the relevance of these initiatives in fostering positive societal change. They reiterated that the Darbar's educational programs aim not only to impart religious knowledge but also to broaden ethical and humanitarian perspectives. The Maizbhandar Darbar Sharif continues to spread the light of moral education globally.
The 119th annual Urs of Gausul Azam Syed Ahmad Ullah Maizbhandari, the founder of the Maizbhandari Tariqa, is set to take place on January 24, with a 10-day program planned to commemorate the occasion.
