In honor of the bicentenary birth anniversary of Gausul Azam Maizbhandari Shah Sufi Syed Ahmad Ullah, the Talent Development Education Festival, Science Lecture, and Science Olympiad were organized on Saturday at Maizbhandar Darbar Sharif in Fatikchhari in Chattogram.
The event was held under the patronage of Hazrat Mawlana Shah Sufi Syed Emdadul Hoque Maizbhandari and the supervision of Syed Irfanul Hoque Maizbhandari, Nayeb Sajjadanashin, Chairman of the Maizbhandari Foundation, and Managing Trustee of the Darul Irfan Research Institute (DIRI).
The festival featured school and madrasah-based competitions, marking the conclusion of talent development initiatives. The prize distribution ceremony for the Gausul Azam Maizbhandari Talent Scholarship Exam 2024 was also held.
Presiding over the event, Syed Irfanul Hoque Maizbhandari emphasized the importance of self-assessment for peace and self-improvement.
"To establish peace in the world, one must become a good human being. At the end of the day, we must reflect on our actions—express gratitude to Allah for good deeds and repent for wrongs to ensure conscious behavior. Moral education is crucial in nurturing children into good individuals," Syed Irfanul Hoque Maizbhandari said.
Dr. Muhammad Moin Uddin, Professor of Law, Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Sarwar, Professor of Geography and Environmental Studies, Dr. Tanvir Ahmed Roni, Professor of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Dr. Shahinur Rahman, Professor of Psychology, and Associate Professor Dr. Omar Faruk from the Department of Botany at the University of Chittagong were the guest at the programme.
The ceremony also honored nine teachers for their contributions to organizing the Gausul Azam Maizbhandari Talent Scholarship Exam.
A Tasauf dialogue was held with the participation of Khalifas of Gausul Azam and descendants of other spiritual lineages.
