A full-fledged fire drill-2025 has been completed at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram. A fictional Neptune Airlines passenger plane caught fire while landing on the runway.

Two fire trucks rushed to the airport as soon as the plane caught fire. Later, fire service, aircraft, navy and army fire trucks rushed to control the situation. Rescue vehicles and ambulances were also present at the scene to rescue the passengers.

Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Nasreen Jahan was present at the full fire drill at the airport on Tuesday afternoon.

According to airport sources, fire drills are organized at the airport at specific times every two years. In this exercise, a fictitious passenger flight was completed by catching fire. Through this exercise, emergency situations can be handled quickly. In addition, the concerned agencies can gain skills through the exercise.

It is also known that in today's exercise, there were 75 passengers on the fictional Neptune Airlines passenger flight. The plane caught fire when it landed on the runway. As soon as the fire broke out, the airport's own fire truck, fire service, aircraft, navy and army fire trucks rushed to control the situation. As a result, the fire was quickly controlled.

Officials of Bangladesh Air Force, Army, Navy, Police, Rapid Action Battalion, Ansar, Civil Defence, Fire Service, Additional District Magistrate of the district administration, officials of the ministry and members of Civil Aviation were present on the occasion.
