Ninety-five mobile phones were recovered from an abandoned trolley bag inside an aircraft at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram.
The National Security Intelligence (NSI) and Customs Intelligence recovered the mobile phones from a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight BG-152 from Sharjah on Sunday.
According to airport sources, among the 95 mobile phones, 49 are smart phones (Samsung brand) and 46 are button phones (Nokia brand). The estimated value of which is Tk 18 lakh 30 thousand.
Shah Amanat International Airport Public Relations Officer (PRO) Engineer Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil said 95 smart and button mobile phones were recovered from a trolley bag abandoned without passengers during a joint operation.
The recovered goods were handed over to Airport Customs, he added.
