A special delegation from Denmark visited the expanded program on immunization (EPI) activities at Lohagara Upazila Health Complex in Chattogram on Wednesday.
The Danish delegation was warmly welcomed with flowers by Lohagara Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Mohammad Iqbal Hossain, along with doctors and staff members.
During the visit, the delegation observed various aspects of the EPI program, including the vaccination process, storage facilities, the efficiency of healthcare workers, and community response. They expressed satisfaction with the dedication of the health workers, the well-organized vaccination management, and the high immunization rate among children.
Welcoming the delegation, Dr. Mohammad Iqbal Hossain said, "Our goal is to ensure that every child receives timely vaccinations. Guidance from experts from developed nations will help us improve our efficiency further."
Lohagara Upazila Health Complex's Residential Medical Officer (RMO) Dr. Ishtiaqur Rahman, along with other officials, nurses, were present during the visit.
The Danish delegation also interacted with local residents to gather their opinions on the vaccination program.
