With the theme "Let's Change the Nation, Let's Change the World," the Upazila Administration Cup Cricket Tournament began in Lohagara in Chattogram, as part of the Youth Festival 2025 celebrations aimed at building a new Bangladesh.
The grand opening match took place on Wednesday at Dr. Colonel Oli Ahmad Bir Bikram Stadium, featuring a competitive game between Amirabad Union Cricket XI and Putibila Union Cricket XI.
In the 12-over match, Amirabad Union Cricket XI won the toss and opted to bat first, scoring 165 runs for 3 wickets in 12 overs. Chasing the target, Putibila Union Cricket XI was all out for 124 runs in 10 overs, resulting in a 41-run victory for Amirabad Union Cricket XI.
The tournament is being organized by the Upazila Administration, with Lohagara Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Muhammad Inamul Hasan attending as the chief guest.

Saifullah Chowdhury, Acting General Secretary of Upazila LDP Kamal Uddin, Sadar Union LDP General Secretary Nurul Alam, Upazila Jubo Dal leader Jahangir Alam, among others, were present as speacial guests.
Members of the Upazila Sports Association, student representatives, and leaders from various political and social organizations also attended the event.
Following the match, the guests presented awards to the winning team and the Man of the Match performers.
