A discussion meeting was held on Monday between Khandaker Jamilur Rahman, the newly appointed District Registrar of Chattogram and President of the Bangladesh Registration Services Association, and the Bangladesh Muslim Nikah Registrar Forum, the sole representative body of rural marriage registrars (Kazis).
More than fifty Kazis gathered to extend a floral welcome to District Registrar Khandaker Jamilur Rahman.
The meeting was presided over by the President of the Bangladesh Muslim Nikah Registrar Forum, Kazi Syed Abu Sayeed, and moderated by the General Secretary, Kazi Mohiuddin Md. Sadeq. During the discussion, District Registrar Khandaker Jamilur Rahman assured that any issues faced by rural Kazis would be resolved through the forum’s leadership.
Speeches were delivered by Permanent Committee President Principal Harun Chowdhury and General Secretary Kazi Saker Ahmed Chowdhury. Several other distinguished Kazis were present at the event, including Kazi Ekramul Haque Chowdhury, Kazi Nur Mohammad, Kazi Abdul Aziz, Kazi Abdul Halim, Kazi Jahangir Alam, Kazi Nasir, Kazi Abul Bashar, Kazi Hasanul Karim Muniri, Kazi Abu Shoaib Muniri, Kazi Ashraf Ud-Doula, Kazi Enamul Haque, Kazi Ziaul Haque, Kazi Saifur Rahman, Kazi Mofizur Rahman Chowdhury, Kazi Syed Tosiful Huda, Kazi Manjur Haider Siddiqui, Kazi Abu Bakr Siddiqui, Kazi Abdul Quddus, Kazi Yusuf, Kazi Jasim Uddin, Kazi Ahmad Hossain Reza, Kazi Syed Md.
