The Rapid Action Battalion RAB-7 have arrested two drug peddlers with 196 bottles Phensidyl during a raid at Chandgaon residential area in Chattogram city. A private car used to transport drugs was also seized.
This information was given in a press release sent from RAB-7 on Tuesday.
The arrestees were identified as Saiful Islam, 37, son of late Haji Nur Sobhan of Azamnagar area of Jorarganj police station and Nasir Uddin, 31, son of Zahir Uddin of North Sonapahar area of the same police station.
Assistant Director RAB-7 (Media) ARM Mozaffar Hossain said that the arrested drug dealers were bringing drugs from Feni to Chattogram city by a private car. On the basis of such information, a check post was set up in Chandgaon residential area and they were arrested with 196 bottles of Phensidyl.
The arrested accused were handed over to Chandgaon Police Station for further legal action, he added.
