Ahead of the rally scheduled for February 22, BNP and its associated organizations held a campaign march in Rangpur city, demanding the stabilization of essential commodity prices, improvement of law and order, the announcement of a swift election roadmap, and resistance against the conspiracies of the fallen fascists.
On Thursday afternoon (February 20), the march began from the Grand Hotel intersection and moved through various streets in the city. Leaders and activists from district Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, Chhatra Dal, Krishak Dal, Tati Dal, and other associated organizations participated. Later, they held a gathering at the Grand Hotel intersection, urging BNP leaders, activists, and the general public to attend the upcoming rally to ensure their demands are met.
The rally is scheduled to take place at Rangpur Town Hall on February 22 at noon. The chief guest will be Abul Khair Bhuiyan, an advisor to the party's chairperson.
Regarding preparations for the rally, Anisur Rahman Laku, Member Secretary of Rangpur District BNP, said, "We have been organizing campaign marches and gatherings in upazilas, unions, wards, and the city, involving leaders and activists from the main party and its associated organizations. All preparations have been completed. We hope that, in addition to party members, the general public will also participate in the rally. Our target is to gather at least 20,000 people."
