Bangladesh Air Force Base in Cox's Bazar came under sudden attack by some miscreants from the adjacent Samiti Para area today (24 February), according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)."In response, the Bangladesh Air Force is taking necessary measures to address the situation," reads a press release signed by Ayesha Siddiqua, assistant director of ISPR.
Cox's Bazar Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin said, "One person was killed, and several others were injured in the incident." "The cause of the clash will be investigated through discussions with both parties, and necessary measures will be taken," he added.
Saiful Islam, in charge of Cox's Bazar District Sadar Hospital police box, said the incident took place at around 12pm. "Shihab Kabir, 30, a local trader, was shot during the clash. He is the son of Nasir Uddin from Samiti Para of Ward 1," he said.
