Three people were killed and another was injured in a head-on collision between an ambulance and an engine-powered van in Jhikargacha upazila, Jashore, early Wednesday morning. The accident occurred around 6:00 am on the Jashore-Benapole highway in the Nabibnagar area of the upazila. The identities of the victims have not been revealed yet.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Bablu Rahman Khan of Jhikargacha police station said that the ambulance was traveling from Jashore to Benapole when the collision occurred with the engine-powered passenger van, which was coming from the opposite direction. Police from both Jhikargacha and the Navaran Highway police station arrived at the scene shortly after the incident.
