Awami League-nominated candidate Mohiuddin Bachchu was unofficially declared the winner in the by-election to the Chittagong-10 constituency held on Sunday (30 July).
Mohiuddin Bachchu got 52,923 votes while his nearest rival Jatiya Party candidate Md Shamsul Alam secured 1,572 votes.
Chittagong-10 constituency Returning Officer and Chittagong Regional Election Officer Muhammad Hasanuzzaman announced the result.
