A biker was killed and two pillion riders were injured as the motorcycle carrying them collided with a motorized van in Magura's Sreepur upazila on Monday (9 October) morning.
The deceased was identified as Shahin Sheikh, 28, son of Badsha Sheikh of Parla Beltola area of Magura Sadar upazila and the injured were Ashik and Suja.
The accident occurred around 9 am when the motorcycle collided with the van in Radhanagar area of the upazila, leaving the trio seriously injured, said Kanchan Kumar Roy, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sreepur police station.
They were taken to Magura 250-bed hospital. Shahin died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Ashik and Suja are now receiving treatment at the hospital, added the OC.
A case was filed in this regard at Sreepur police station, he added.
