Mohammad Siam Hasan (26), a suspect named in the chargesheet for the 2018 attack on the convoy of former US Ambassador Marcia Bernicat, has been arrested by the Detective Branch (DB) from Mohammadpur.
AC media of DMP Jahangir Kabir confirmed the information.
Acting on a tip-off, a DB Tejgaon team from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) apprehended Siam Hasan at 11:30 p.m. from a house on Tajmahal Road, Mohammadpur. He was wanted in connection with the supplementary chargesheet filed in the case of the attack on Bernicat's convoy.
It is also noteworthy that Siam Hasan is an accused in another case related to the killing during the recent student uprising and has several other cases pending against him.
