Police have arrested Molla Jalal, former president of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ), in a case filed under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act.
Shahbagh police station's Officer-in-charge (OC) Khaled Mansur told, Jalal was arrested from the capital's Shegunbagicha.
He was later presented in court, which ordered him to be sent to jail.
