A court here today sent former ministers Rashed Khan Menon and Hasanul Haq Inu and ex-state minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak to jail after completing their remand in a youth Emon Hossain Gazi murder case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Awlad Hossain Muhammad Zunaid passed the order as they were produced before the court upon completion of their remand.
Earlier on October 8 last, the trio was taken of seven days police remand.
According to the case details, Emon Gazi sustained critical bullet wounds in the student-people demonstration at Chittagong Road under Jatrabari Police Station on August 5 and died on the spot.
Emon's brother Anwar Hossain filed the case with Jatrabari Police Station on August 28 last.
Menon was arrested from the city's Gulshan area on August 22 while Inu from Uttara on August 26 and Palak from Nikunja residential area under Khilkhet Police Station on August 14 last.
