A court today showed five people including Hasanul Haque Inu and Salman F Rahman arrested in fresh cases filed over murders and murder attempts that took place during the student-led July-August mass uprising. The three other arrested are- Shahjahan Khan, Zunaid Ahmed Palak and Atiqul Islam. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sharifur Rahman passed the orders as police produced the five accused before the court and pleaded to show them arrested in the cases.
Of the five, Salman F Rahman was shown arrested in a murder case filed with the Mirpur Model Police Station, while Palak was shown arrested in another murder case filed with the Shahbagh Police Station. Former Dhaka North City Corporation mayor Atiqul Islam was shown arrested in a murder attempt case filed with Airport Police Station and a murder case filed with Uttara West
Police Station.
Shahjahan Khan was shown arrested in a murder case filed with Hatirjheel Police Station, while Hasanul Haque Inu was shown arrested in another murder case filed with the Gulshan Police Station. A court here today placed former home minister Hasanul Haque Inu on a four-day remand in a case lodged over the murder of one Bahadur Hossain Monir during student-led July-August mass uprising.
The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sharifur Rahman passed the order as police produced Inu before the court and pleaded to place him on a 10-day remand in the case.
According to the case documents, Md Bahadur Hossain Monir got shot in the Pragati Smarani area on July 19. He was rushed to local hospital, where the attending doctors declared him dead.
