The International Criminal Tribunal (ICT) has issued arrest warrants against ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and 10 others in connection with the enforced disappearances during the 15-year rule of the Awami League.
A two-member tribunal led by Justice Golam Mortuza Mazumdar issued the order today (6 January) in response to a prosecution application.
Besides Sheikh Hasina, arrest warrants have been issued against former defence adviser Major General (retd) Tarique Ahmed Siddique, and the former inspector general of police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed, among others.
