During the quota reform movement, the students have always spoken about eliminating discrimination and establishing a non-communal, democratic state and society. Faced with their agitation, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned from the country on Monday and is now staying in India. After the resignation of Sheikh Hasina, the process of forming an interim government to run the country has started. Meanwhile BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been released. Those detained in the quota movement from July 1 to 5 are also being released. And the president dissolved the twelfth national parliament. Sahabuddin According to a press release of Banga Bhavan, Parliament was dissolved in view of the decision of the meeting held with the President with the heads of three forces, leaders of various political parties, representatives of civil society and leaders of anti-discrimination student movement. This parliament was abolished by executive order.
There is panic everywhere because of the days of violence surrounding the anti-discrimination student movement. Since Sheikh Hasina's departure, police outposts have been attacked and set on fire in various parts of the country. As a result, there is maximum fear among the police. Traffic police were not seen on most of the streets of the capital on Tuesday. Here and there, army personnel and students are standing at road junctions controlling the traffic signals. On this day at 10:30 am, this image was seen at Vijay Sarani, Jahangir Gate, Farmgate, Karwan Bazar, Bangla Motor, Shahbag intersection of the capital. According to the students, while returning home in the morning, he noticed that there was no traffic police on the road. It creates a kind of chaos all around. Immediately some took responsibility for the road. They are performing the duty that the traffic police perform. In other words, they are doing their duty on the road to restore order to the car. They will be on duty until the traffic police comes here. If the traffic police do not come, another group is ready to replace them. They will take charge after 3 pm. Similarly, students have to perform the duties of traffic police on different streets of the capital.
Meanwhile, in a statement sent to the media by the Bangladesh Police, the problem is not the entire police force but the leadership. The guilty will be punished, please don't attack the innocent. In the statement, it is said that the Bangladesh Police, like the country and the nation, is going through a transitional period, seeking forgiveness for the souls of those who died in the movement of students and people. Apparently, the Bangladesh Police is completely leaderless now. The accused have covered their heads. Junior officers and members are disoriented. They are all innocent members. In the existing situation, everyone's cooperation is sought from the statement to protect a state institution in the interest of the country.
We think that the way to build a non-discrimination, non-sectarian and democratic state has been opened through the student movement. They have revitalized the people of the country. This movement is not for any destruction, no violence or looting. It is our sacred duty to protect religious minorities. We have to pay special attention to the fact that the great victory achieved by the student movement should not be tarnished by the instigation of any self-interested group.
