The Jagannath University Teachers Association has placed ten-point conditions regarding the general science and technology university cluster admission test system. They highlighted the conditions in a press conference regarding the admission process for the 2023–24 academic year on Saturday.

The general secretary of the organisation, Sheikh Masrick Hasan, said at the press conference that the teachers' association does not want to be in the cluster admission test; the policy makers have imposed this process on us. It is an opaque and flawed process. If Maritime University and BUP can conduct the admissions process without this, then Jagannath University can also.

President Professor Dr. Md. Zakir Hossain said those who could not complete the cluster admission examination transparently and nicely are getting the responsibility again. Moreover, a party is working to disrupt the progress of Jagannath University.

Although we had previously said that we only go through the cluster process if our conditions are being fulfilled, But that didn’t happen. We have ten conditions now that have to be fulfilled.

In the press conference, the speakers highlighted the inconsistency of the admissions test and the suffering of the students in the last few years. Meanwhile, they demanded a single admission test for the academic year 2024–25.

In addition, they demanded to reduce the length of time spent in completing the admissions process, to start the new academic year classes on July 1st of this year, to calculate the income and expenditure of last year's admissions and pay the due amount of JnU, to organise separate cluster exams for science and technology and general universities, and to show the merit order with admission test marks.
