Jahangirnagar University (JU) Chhatra League general secretary Habibur Rahman Liton has been declared ineligible by a section of the branch Chhatra League.
Tuseday (23 Jan) at 1 o'clock the activists started gathering at the transport area of the university . At 2 o'clock, the procession left the transport and passed through Shaheed Minar to see Amar Ekushe sculpture and again went to the transport. About two hundred activists of six halls were present in the procession.
After the march, in short briefed the activists made six allegations against the general secretary and declared him undesirable in the university. The complaints are not keeping track of the activists, not coordinating the politics of the university even after two years of the committee,not giving a hall committee for a long time despite holding a activists conference of every hall, behaving rudely with the activists when they want to talk about the hall committee and showing busyness as an excuse, being too busy with personal interests including land acquisition in the surrounding areas of the university.
About the complaint, Habibur Rahman Liton, general secretary of the JU branch BCL, told the media, "I am staying in the campus at the moment.All the time I was with the leaders and activists of the committee . I Will talk to my leaders and activists about the issue . Hope they would understand."
