This decision was taken at the National Monitoring and Law and Order Committee meeting chaired by Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury in Dhaka on Sunday (Jan 28).
This year, 2,024,192 candidates will participate in SSC examinations at 3,700 centres in 29,735 educational institutions.
The meeting decided that all coaching centres will be closed from Feb 13 to Mar 12 to ensure that the examinations are conducted in a fair and rumour-free environment.
No one will be allowed to use mobile phones or unauthorised electronic devices at the examination centres except the central secretary, who will be allowed to use a feature phone without facilities for taking pictures and using the Internet.
Action will be taken as per the rules for using unauthorised devices.
