Architect Mahbuba Haque is elected Chairperson of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) at the recently held 21st Annual General meeting of the UAP Foundation. She takes over from the immediate past Chairman, Dr. M. Alauddin.
Architect Mahbuba Haque is an experienced architect with a demonstrated history of working in the architecture and planning industries. She completed her bachelor degree in architecture from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1986. She started working with Prof. Shamsul Wares as an intern. In January 1996, she started her own business, ‘Mahbuba Haque & Associates Limited’.
In her 30-year career as an architect, she has worked with different national and international bodies. Architect Mahbuba Haque, also a member of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB).
The other elected office bearers are: Tashmeem Shayera Moyeen as Senior Vice Chairperson; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shariful Islam and Mohammad Ishtiaq Kamal as Vice Chair; and Alamzeb Farjad Ahmed as Treasurer.
