The Canadian University of Bangladesh proudly announced the inauguration of its Medical Center on the bustling second floor of its campus for students. CUB and Chartered Life Insurance Company Limited jointly inaugurated the Medical Center. Officials from both institutions were present at the inauguration.
A contract was signed between the two institutions for five years. Vice-Chancellor (Acting) and Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gias U. Ahsan signed on behalf of CUB, and the CEO of Chartered Life Insurance Company Limited, S. M. Ziaul Hoque, signed on behalf of the institution.
Professor Ridhwanul Haque, Project Initiator and Senior Adviser of the CUB’s Board of Trustees signed as the witness to the agreement.
Students aged 17 to 35 will be eligible for this health insurance facility. Students will have the opportunity to receive primary medical care from the Medical Center.
Students are happy with the launch of the Medical Center on campus. Campus Public Relations Officer Afzal Hossain Sarkar said, "A few days ago, due to weakness, one of our students suddenly fell unconscious on campus, and we tried to provide primary treatment. Then we realized how important it is to have a Medical Center on campus. We are also happy with the inauguration of the Medical Center."
The authorities have stated that this facility will be available for all CUB staff and faculty members in the future.
