Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's 104th birth anniversary and National Children's Day were celebrated at the temporary campus of Khulna Agricultural University (KAU) on Sunday morning. In addition to placing wreaths on Bangabandhu's portrait, prayer and discussion meeting, distribution of educational materials and drawing competition were organized among the children under the initiative of KAU branch Chhatra League.
The chief guest at the event was the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammad Abul Kasem Chowdhury. The guest was Treasurer Professor Sarwar Akram Aziz, Registrar Dr. Khandkar Mazharul Anwar, President and General Secretary of the Democratic Officers Parishad, Khukribi Branch Chhatra League President SM Tansen Islam and General Secretary Biswajit Bhattacharya fellow teachers-students, officials-employees.
In the speech of the chief guest, the Vice-Chancellor said that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was a man of non-communal thinking. One of his mottos was tolerance and truthfulness. He loved the country and the people of the country He proved this reward of people's love with his life The country has to move forward with the ideals and spirit of Bangabandhu.
