Banophool Adibashi Green Heart College celebrated the 104th birthday of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day on Sunday (17 March).
Among the programs undertaken by Banophool Adibashi Green Heart College to celebrate the day with the deepest respect and love were discussions on Bangabandhu’s life and politics, cultural programs and prize-giving ceremony.
Founder and Chairman of the College governing body Buddhist monk Ven. Prajnananda Mahathera was present as the chief guest on the occasion. Principal of Banophool Adibashi Green Heart College, Sudip Kumar Mondal, Convenor of Academic Council Md. Zakidul Islam, Secretary Sushil Chakma, Academic Council member and teacher representative Mustakiya Mahmuda Parveen were present as an honored guest in the program.
The chief guest of the program Ven. Prajnananda Mahathera at the beginning of the speech, respectfully remembered the architect of the independence of Bangladesh, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He advised everyone to spontaneously read the book ‘The Unfinished Memoirs’ written by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman himself. He also said to read the book by heart.
Ven. Prajnananda Mahathera says, When there is a conflict between the heart and the brain, you should accept the heart because a hearty person is better than a wise person. A wise man can do good with his intellect as well as do extreme harm but a man of good heart will only do good and benevolent deeds.
Ven. Prajnananda Mahathera requested the new generation to adopt the ideals of Bangabandhu wholeheartedly and achieve the balanced development of the country by being enriched with knowledge.
