Jatiya Sangsad Deputy Speaker Md Shamsul Haque Tuku on Saturday (1 June) said the students will have to develop as skilled human resources to build the country as 'Golden Bangla', dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The country would become 'Smart Bangladesh' and a developed country at the hands of the students, the future generation, he said while addressing a reception of meritorious students of SSC and other equivalent examinations 2024 at Sathiya of the district.
Tuku said Bangabandhu had always thought about the future generation. He had always thought to build skilled human resources, he added.
Following the ideology of Bangabandhu, he said, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is giving highest priority to education and providing books free of cost and scholarships. A fantastic environment is now prevailing in education sector across the country under the present government, Tuku added.
Sathiya upazila chairman Md Sohel Rana Khokan, among others, addressed the function with upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Md Jahidul Islam in the chair.
