The Freshers’ Reception for Spring 2024 was held at the Mohakhali campus of International Standard University (ISU) on Thursday (6 June) under the Chairmanship of ISU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan emphasized that ISU is determined to create and maintain a student-friendly environment through modern classrooms, labs, quality teachers, and also co-curricular and extracurricular activities. He pointed out the appropriate initiative of ISU to increase the English language skills of the students. He also mentioned that the university offers part-time jobs to the undergrads and full-time jobs to the post-graduates according to their needs and competence.
He also emphasized the importance of being present in the classroom on time for the students. Treasurer (In-charge) H.T.M. Quader Newaz was present as a special guest. Prof. Mohammad Ali gave a welcome speech at the outset. Syeda Bhumika Mahmud and Sultana Mushfika Rahman, Lecturer in English, anchored the ceremony. Among those present were Prof. Dr. Monjur Morshed Mahmud, Dean Faculty of Business Studies, Dr. Muhammad Kamruzzaman, Chairperson of the Department of Business Administration, Dr Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Dean of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and Chairman of the Department of English, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nurul Huda, Advisor, Syed Mostafizur

Besides, the students of the senior batches and fresher delivered their speeches highlighting the quality education of ISU and their dreams of being students of the university. Teachers, students, and administrative officers also attended the Freshers’ Reception. The program ended after a wonderful cultural program organized by the students at the ISU campus.
