the Russian House in Dhaka in cooperation with Banani Bidda Niketon Secondary School organized an event dedicated to the celebration of International Children's Protection Day. In the opening speech, the director of the Russian House in Dhaka, Mr. P. Dvoychenkov, spoke about some Government and non-Government holidays celebrated in Russia as well as some customs and traditions of the country.
During the event, the Russian House in Dhaka simultaneously organized drawing competitions in three classes of the institution dedicated to International Children's Protection Day. Commemorative certificates were awarded to the most active participants.
International Children's Protection Day is not only a fun holiday with gifts and balloons but also an occasion to remind society of the need to observe and respect the rights of the child. This is a reminder to adults of the need to respect the rights of children to life, to protect the legitimate interests of each child and to guarantee the provision of the basic rights of minors, including the right to life, health, education, family well-being, rest and leisure.
We wish each child good health, success in their studies, many happy moments in life, the care and warmth of loved ones, new discoveries and adventures, joy and smiles!
