Protest held in Dhaka University for the second day against the restoration of quota in first and second class government jobs. On Thursday (6 june) afternoon Thousands of protesting students gathered at the National shaheed Minar.
The protesting students recommended the government to appeal against the High Court's verdict on quota restoration. The students warned of a larger movement if the government does not cooperate.
DU students request the government to appeal against this verdict. They warned If the government does not provide any kind of cooperation, then their movement will continue both through the legal process and on the streets.
"If any decision has to be taken regarding the quota, then the decision should be taken by discussing with the students" they mentioned, adding "In this 21st century, in the age of technology, we are convinced to build a country based only on merit to build the smart Bangladesh of the dream of the honorable Prime Minister".
Islam sabbir, a student of International Relations department, said " We reject this Verdict of the High Court."

Hasnat Abdullah, also a student of the English department said the wounds of the rubber bullets of 2018 have not yet healed. Students will not accept this quota reinstatement in any way.
Earlier on Wednesday In an immediate reaction to the High Court verdict, the students of all leading public universities of the country to join in protesting the decision.
On that day, the High Court declared illegal the government 2018 decision to cancel the 30 per cent quota system for freedom fighters' children in civil service jobs, specifically for grades from nine to 13 (first and second classes of jobs).
