Dhaka University (DU) will celebrate its 103rd founding anniversary on 1 july.
The oldest university in the nation was founded in 1921 and began classes on July 1 of that year. It had three faculties, twelve departments, sixty instructors, 877 students, and three residence halls on roughly 600 acres of land.
Presently, the university has 275.083 acres of land, 13 colleges, 84 departments, 12 institutes, 58 research bureaus and centers, and over 43,000 students and 2,200 faculty.
Various programmes have been planned by the administration to mark "Dhaka University Day". National and university flags will be raised, and colorful processions led by faculty, staff, and students will be displayed.
