41 meritorious students get UCSI Awards of Academic Excellence

A total of 41 meritorious students from different departments of UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus received “UCSI Awards of Academic Excellence”, on the basis of their excellent academic performance in the previous Semester. The event was held on Saturday (29 June) at the University Campus.

Professor A K Enamul Haque, Academic Advisor, UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus, attended the programme as the Chief Guest. Among the others, Professor Golam Ahmed Faruqui, PhD, Dean, Faculty of Business and Management, Professor Shah Samiur Rashid, PhD, Registrar of the university, Mr Chan Joe Jim, Provost of the University and Professor Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, PhD, Professor of Faculty of Business and Management were also present at the ceremony.

McBeth Lorenzo Rodrigues, a student of the University's Business Information Systems programme, conducted the event.

In the opening speech, Professor Golam Ahmed Faruqui, PhD, provided necessary guidance to the students regarding their future career planning and highlighted the importance of setting specific goals to thrive.

In the speech of the chief guest, Professor A K Enamul Haque, PhD, said, “UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus has always been committed to enriching the skill set of the students by providing world-class higher education. It is my firm belief that the students will demonstrate their merit in the academic arena globally.”

Chan Joe Jim urged the students to dedicate themselves to the development of the nation and motivated them to work with sincerity from this stage of life to fulfil their dreams.

Then, the invited guests presented awards to the meritorious students of various departments.

In the closing remarks, Professor Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, PhD, congratulated the award recipients for their outstanding performance and expressed hope that the students will keep working hard and continue achieving success in the future.
